More Painting! More Pictures!

Carey took some great pictures of the work that he and Bart did yesterday. He didn't tell me that they had some extra help!

Below is the in-progress picture of the office. The yucky yellow and green had been primed over, and a white ceiling and light blue walls will be much nicer to look at while we're working on the computer! Carey and Bart managed to finish up the room yesterday, so that's another area checked off our list!
The master bedroom is going to be a dark burgundy color, so we needed a tinted primer. The picture below shows the newly painted ceiling and the partially primed walls. (No, we're not leaving the walls grey!)
Like I said, Carey and Bart had some extra help yesterday. Our niece, Gabriella, has been itching to help us with the painting. She came over after school yesterday and helped the guys prime Abigail's bedroom. :-)
We had good news / bad news from the floor guys yesterday. We thought that the floors in the bedrooms were okay, but when the guys came over to give us an estimate yesterday, they said that the bedroom floors weren't properly sealed. We could leave them as is, but we'd end up having to fix them down the road. So, Carey and I figured that, as long as we're not moved in yet, we'd get the bedrooms done as well and just be done with the whole smelly business. Plus, now we can be as messy as we want with the painting and not worry about drop cloths! The good news is that they're starting on Friday, and we'll be able to get back into the house by the middle of next week. (We won't be going out until next weekend, but it's great to know that we'll be able to move in on schedule!)

So, things are coming along. Carey worked so hard yesterday; he looked like he could have fallen asleep standing up by the time he got home last night. I know I say this quite a bit, but Abby and I really are lucky to have Carey (and his wonderful family)!
