Big Girl Car Seat!

This weekend, we upgraded Abby's car seat. We were using a travel system, which was great because we could just move the car seat from the base in the car to the stroller without unstrapping Abby and waking her up. Well, the past few weeks, carrying around the carrier was back-breaking work. (No offense to my baby girl, but she is getting big!!) Plus, she's so tall that her little feet were practically hanging off the edge of the car seat.

Luckily, Anne, Jon, Luke and Lauren had given us the Britax Marathon convertible car seat off our baby registry. The car seat can be used as rear-facing for babies under 1 year old/under 20 pounds and as forward-facing after the baby turns one and is at least 20 pounds. Bart came over on Sunday night and installed it in the Civic for us, and now Abby is riding in style! And as you can see from the pictures, she's quite happy with her new ride!
