4 pounds, 14 ounces!

We had our ultrasound last night. Unfortunately, none of the pictures turned out very well, which was disappointing since we could see everything so clearly on the monitor. So, no pictures of Abigail for the blog (I couldn't get a decent scan of any of them), but we do have some interesting tidbits of information:

• Abby now weighs 4 pounds, 14 ounces. (Average weight at this stage is 4 pounds, 8 ounces, so our baby girl is a bit above average, probably because of her big, but cute, Ng head.)
  
• Her head is pointing down, her back is along my right side, her butt is at the top of my uterus, and her legs and feet are along my left side.
• Her heartbeat was strong.
• And, she was so cute!! :-)

So, Carey and I left the office very happy. The nurse said that Dr. Siegel should have the results by the end of this week, so he'll have ample time to review them before our next appointment on August 4th. The one thing that the ultrasound couldn't show us was if Abigail is going to have her daddy's crazy hair! Although, in all honestly, I was born with quite a head of crazy hair myself, so the likelihood that Abby will be wearing lots of hats early in life is very high! :-)
