Thankfully, Abby is doing much better than she was earlier this week. I stayed home with her yesterday, and we did not have a single diarrhea or vomit episode. Praise God for healing our little angel! Abby's nose is still running and she has been a bit fussy. The drool machine has started up again, so I'm thinking that she's dealing with some teething pain. But, it doesn't seem to bother her too much as long as she has a chilled teething ring to chew on! :-)
The lingering effect of this illness is that Abby is terribly off-schedule. Our little munchkin usually goes to bed around 8:30 pm and sleeps 9-10 hours a night, and then takes a few naps throughout the course of the day that add up to 3-4 hours. Abby awoke during the middle of the night several nights this week, and she tended to take really long naps during the day. Then, last night, we had Mass for Holy Thursday at 8:00 pm, so Abby didn't get home until around 9:40. After a diaper change and a bottle, we put her down in her crib and she fidgeted and whined until almost 11:30 pm! Too late for our little munchkin to stay up!! Too late for Abby's mommy to stay up!!
I'm hopeful that, since Abby is now feeling a little better, we'll be able to get her back on her schedule. Not only do I function better when Abby is on her "normal" schedule, I truly believe that Abby functions better as well!
