Project Life Tuesday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Monday
Because of Chinese New Year, I am not allowed to clean my house for three days. Not that I clean every day, but now that I can't vacuum my rug, I am noticing every single speck of dust and dirt on it. Every. Single. Speck. Ugh.


Tuesday
Kristen, repeat after me: These are not for you. These are not for you. These are not for you. (They are, in fact, for Bart and Melissa, who are celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary on February 17th.)


Wednesday
Today was Ash Wednesday. I attended Mass and received my ashes at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Patrick in midtown NYC.


Thursday
I know what that is, mommy! That's my dur-dle! (The way that Abigail says "turtle" is just too cute!)

Friday
Spring cleaning fever has hit the Ng house. Friday night I was cleaning the living room and - oh my goodness! Is that a waffle and dirty tissues stuffed behind the cushions of the couch?!?!?!
Yup. Gross.


Saturday
Carey and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner at our favorite local Italian restaurant on Saturday. Abby was such a good girl in her high chair. Here she is munching on some snacks while we waited for our dinner to arrive. On the menu for Abby - meatballs and cheese ravioli. Yum-o!

I can't even sit down anymore without a little person jumping on my back and begging me for a piggyback ride. Who needs the gym? I have an Abby. :-)


MondayIn honor of Syracuse's win over Cincinnati yesterday, my elevator at work decided to celebrate with orange and blue. (Okay, technically the elevator "celebrates" every day, but it seemed especially applicable today.)


Tuesday

WednesdayA big snowstorm hit Long Island today, so mommy and daddy both worked from home. Abby took advantage of our presence by mooching (begging) daddy for some oatmeal.


ThursdayThe aftermath of yesterday's snowstorm. Long Island had almost 16 inches of snow, as evidenced by the amount of white stuff on our back deck.


FridayMy lovable Valentine - Carey braving the cold weather to cook me a skirt steak for our (early) Valentine's dinner. Yum-O!


SaturdayWhat happened when daddy tried to give Abigail her medicine? Well, let's just say that not much of it actually made it into her mouth...

I made lots of progress in my actual scrapbook this week. I printed out my photos at Walgreen's last weekend and finally got everything up to February 6th complete and in my album - yay! One minute she's playing. The next minute, she's staring in "Flashdance." And I have absolutely no idea how it happened...

Monday

The roller coaster weather on Long Island has messed with my flowers yet again. Now, in addition to my daffodils, my gladiolus bulbs are sprouting. Good grief!

Tuesday

I always forget to put away at least one Christmas decoration. This year, it was right in front of my nose - the Christmas cards hanging up in our dining room. Oops!

Wednesday

Caught red-handed! Abby has now figured out how to open her snacks - with her teeth...

Thursday

My dishwasher is evidence of my new-found love of Mabel's Labels. Love 'em!

Friday

When good readers go bad. If you have slow reflexes like me, make sure your kids read board books only...

Saturday

After Tot Music, Abby and daddy were listening to her CD. "Clap, clap, clap your hands, clap your hands together!"

I'm also making progress with my actual scrapbook. I've completed my custom inside page (pictures to come soon), and I'm working on my journaling cards. I'm still working with learning the features of my new Paint Shop Pro software, but I'm able to perform basic editing, so I'm planning to print out all of my January photos (and what I have for February) this weekend. The more I work on this project, the more excited I get!
