Cradle of Aviation Museum
One of the great perks that Carey discovered at our local library is free museum passes. If you reserve the pass ahead of time, you can get free admission for a family of four to many of our local museums. Carey recently reserved a family pass to the Cradle of Aviation Museum in nearby Garden City. The weekend was going to be brutally hot, so we were looking forward to spending the day in the air conditioned museum. I have to admit that I was not a huge fan of the museum, but I did have a great time watching Abby, who was beside herself with excitement. She loves standing in the yard looking for "air-panes" in the sky, so the fact that she could see lots of airplanes up close was great!
Our museum pass
Abby and daddy, outside the museum
Abby and mommy, taking a close-up look at one of the planes hanging in the entryway
Abby sitting on a replica of the Wright Brothers' airplane
Abby loved pushing this button, which made a hot air balloon float up in the air
Abby giving the airplane seats a test drive :-)
She loved steering the helicopter in the kids' play area
Abby the Pilot!
Buckling herself into another airline seat - this kid loves to buckle and unbuckle things!
