Abby, Carey, and I want to wish Carey's dad a very happy birthday!! ("Yea Yea" is what Abby will call dad. It's basically the Chinese version of grandfather for the child of one of dad's sons. All of Bart and Carey's children refer to dad as "Yea Yea," whereas Anne's kids refer to dad as "Goon Goon.")Yesterday, everyone came over to our house and we enjoyed a delicious meal and dessert together. Dad got to see all his children and grandchildren, and we all had a good time, in spite of the rainy weather... Dad was especially happy because Melissa made a cake for dad that said "Happy Birthday" in Chinese!
