Also, as part of the All Star Game, there are miniatures of the Statue of Liberty, decorated in team colors, scattered all around NYC. The Mets Statue is right near Penn Station, so Carey and I stopped by this morning and took Abby's first Mets picture. (Because we all know that she's going to be a Mets fan!)
This afternoon, the All Star Parade will be going right down 6th Avenue. Fortunately for me, my office is located on 6th Ave, so I'll have a good (air conditioned) seat for the parade. They've already set up the red carpet:
Well, that's it for today's "super baseball" post. Have a great Tuesday, and go National League!

Fan Fest!
Carey had a great time at Fan Fest yesterday. He was able to see some of his favorite players, including Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Gary Carter. He also got to see the World Series Trophy, which he says is much smaller in person than it looks on TV. Below are just a few of his pictures, in case you're interested.

Bernie Williams (in the pinstripe polo shirt)
Derek Jeter (in the khaki pants and blue shirt)
