Visitors and Great News!

Last night, we were lucky to be visited by my cousin, Mary, and her boyfriend, Andy. Mary and Andy are both teachers, so they decided to take a trip down to the NYC-area during their summer break to visit family, catch a Mets game, and spend some time with their cute littlest cousin! So, while our house was a MESS (the downstairs still isn't put back together after my big painting project and the upstairs has huge piles of stuff from Carey's parents for our upcoming yard sale), Mary and Andy were very understanding and (I hope) weren't too freaked out by the clutter! It was great to see them, and Abby had an absolute blast! Thanks to both of them for taking the time to visit us! :-)



The other piece of great news that we received: my cousin, Dan, who graduated from Cornell with an Engineering degree in 2003, just received a big promotion at his job. Hooray!! (We were hoping that Dan would be able to join us last night, but he literally just received word of his promotion on Tuesday, so he was in meetings all day on Wednesday and wasn't able to make it out to Long Island.) So, we missed him last night, but we're thrilled about his great news! (Plus, Dan will be overseeing a project for his office that involves the Long Island Railroad. So, if I have a complaint with my daily commute, now I know who to speak with. Just kidding!!) Dan, the Ngs are so happy for you and hope that we'll get the chance to celebrate with you very soon!
