Well, there's no denying it: Abigail is a chatterbox. Every morning, she'll hang out in her crib, just chatting to herself and chewing on her toes until Carey or I come get her. After she eats, she'll sit on our laps, looking around the room and gibbering. (I sometimes think that she's saying hello to all the furniture, but I can't be sure...) When she's laying on her play mat, she'll be mumbling or squealing, depending on what mood strikes her at the time. The funniest thing is that now she's started whispering. She'll be "talking" in her normal voice, and all of the sudden, she'll drop her voice and talk really quiet. It's adorable!
The other new vocal development is that Abby is so close to saying "ma ma." She'll put her lips together and go "hmmm" and end with an "ahhh." So, it sounds like "hmmm-ahhh." I'm hoping that she'll work out the kinks and that I'll get a "ma ma" very soon! :-)
