This weekend at church was the celebration of Jesus's baptism. At St. Anthony of Padua Church, this is also the weekend when all children who were baptized in the previous year are invited to the family Mass for a special blessing and breakfast. So, Abby, Carey, and I went to the family Mass (9:00 am) and sat with a bunch of other cute little ones who were baptized in 2008. At the end of Mass, all the new parents were invited to stand for a special blessing for us and our babies, and then we all went into the parish center for breakfast. Carey and I had submitted a photo of Abby in her baptismal dress, which was added to a poster that included pictures of several other babies who had been baptized at St. Anthony's last year. It was so much fun to see other families who had welcomed their special additions last year, and it reminded us of how blessed we are to have Abigail!
