Cradle of Aviation Museum

You may remember this post from last summer, where I described Abby's first visit to the Cradle of Aviation Museum. We borrowed the museum pass from our local library again two weeks ago (Saturday, May 7th) and made the trip back to the museum.

Once again, Abby loved pressing buttons and trying out the kid-friendly experiments on wind and aerodynamics. (Mostly, she just liked pressing the buttons.) There is also a special play area for kids called the Junior Jet Club - Abby loved playing with the blocks, riding the airplane and climbing into and around everything. We had a really fun morning at the museum, followed by a few rides on Nunley's Carousel. Abby loves riding on the white horses!

We had a fun family day. It truly is such a blessing to spend time with my wonderful husband and our precious daughter!

(We had to recreate the photo from last year!)

Pressing the big red button made a hot air balloon rise into the air. This is, by far, Abby's favorite thing to do at the museum!

Watching the hot air balloon with mommy.

In the cockpit. (And yes, my child has a monkey tattoo. Abby was a good helper at daycare the day before, so they gave her a temporary tattoo. We let Abby keep them on until her next bath, which was Saturday night in this case. So, Abby got to walk around tattooed at the museum...)

Riding the teeter-tooter airplane in the Junior Jet Club.

Abby and Mommy being silly through the port hole...

Riding in the space ship. Unfortunately, she got pretty bored about 10 seconds into the 45 second ride...

Waiting patiently, and intently, for a private birthday party to end so we could ride the carousel.

I love how the rest of the photo is kind of blurry, but the smile on Abby's face is crystal clear. :-)

Someone didn't want to look at the camera...
