Josh!

Okay, in case you didn't know, I am a HUGE Josh Groban fan. Like, member of his fan club fan. And going to see him in concert multiple times per tour fan. And trading emails constantly with my sister-in-law Anne whenever we hear interesting Josh news. Yeah, a fan like that.

So imagine my shock when a friend of mine, Tim, called me at work last week to ask if I wanted to see Josh Groban on the Regis and Kelly show on Tuesday. Um, of course! After arranging to take the morning off work, I found my fan club t-shirt (which just barely managed to cover the belly) and prepared for some Josh-ness.

I met up with Tim's mom at the studios and, after waiting on line outside and then again inside, we were let into the studio. I was shocked at how small it was - they must use some tricky camera angles to make it look bigger than it is. We were about four rows back, off to the left, but with an awesome view of where Josh would be singing.

And, oh, it was awesome. Josh sang "If I Walk Away" from his new album, Illuminations. He really does have an amazing voice. While I wasn't a huge fan of Illuminations the first time I listened to it - it is a departure from his previous albums - it has really started to grow on me, and I was actually hoping that he would sing this song. Beautiful.

It was so amazing to see Josh sing again, especially sitting so close to him. He has such a amazing voice, and he was laughing and joking with his fans whenever the camera wasn't on. Thanks so much to Tim's mom, Suzanne, for inviting me to share this awesome experience!
