Caring for a Crown

Sometimes, kids are so funny. You'll buy an expensive toy, and they just want the box. You'll give them a present, and they're more interested in the wrapping paper than the gift. It's just one of those things that you can't help laughing at.

It somehow became a tradition that on Easter and Thanksgiving, after attending Mass, our family goes to Burger King for breakfast. (Weird tradition, I know, but we enjoy it...) So, after Thanksgiving Mass in November 2010, we went to our local Burger King to treat ourselves to breakfast. Abby noticed the paper crowns they have and asked for one. Doesn't she look cute?


And, in that impossible-to-explain kid way, Abby has taken better care of that crown than most of her other toys. It sits, perched on Winnie the Pooh's head, when not in use and is often worn while we eat dinner at home. See?
