How many of you have ever read every word of the Bible? At this time last year, my answer to that question would have been "Not me..." However, in 2010, I came across a wonderful blog: Mom's Toolbox. The motto of this amazing blog is "Tools for Real Moms Growing in Christ." Amy encouraged her readers to read with her through the entire Bible using the curriculum developed by The Bible in 90 Days ministry. By following this curriculum and reading along with everyone at Mom's Toolbox, I read the entire Bible, cover to cover, not once, but twice, in 2010!
Aside from the sense of accomplishment at having achieved a long-held goal, I truly feel that reading every word of the Bible has strengthened my relationship with God. I am definitely not a Bible scholar, but I find myself able to make connections between the different books and things just seem to make a little more sense now that I started at the beginning. I've also found that different people/themes/verses have stuck out to me each time, which gives me great ideas for reflection after I finish my 90 days.
