Fun at Target

One of the most important "mommy lessons" that I have learned since giving birth to Abby is that now, when I take a little munchkin with me on a "quick errand," said errand never turns out to be "quick". Oh well. Abby is so lovable and huggable and adorable, I honestly don't mind that a quick run into Target turns into a hour-long adventure.

Case in point: Saturday afternoon. After Abby's nap, Carey and I needed to pick up a few things at Target. Literally, a few. Our entire list consisted of apple juice, bubble bath, Q-tips, and Kleenex. But, as with everything that includes a toddler, adventure was waiting just around the corner, and our quick trip was stretched into almost an hour of walking around the store to explore.

We tried out the patio chairs. (I don't have a picture for each chair that she sat in, but trust me, when Abby saw a chair, she wanted to sit in it. Every. Single. One. And we were foolish enough to walk through the Patio Department...)
We played with the big balls in the toy department. (Surprisingly, when I asked Abby to pick out her favorite so mommy and daddy could buy it for her, she said no and put it back. Huh?)
We followed daddy around while he drooled over new grills and grilling implements.
It was a fun day. Abby is at such a great age, and I truly enjoy watching her explore and play. Plus, doesn't she just look so gash darn cute in those overalls and pink sandals??? Thanks to cousin Sofia (and Aunt Melissa and Uncle Bart) for sharing her 24 months/2T clothes with Abigail! I just love summertime because Abby gets to show off those little nooshkies!
