One Year Anniversary

I couldn't believe it. After we got home from Abigail's doctor's appointment, I looked at the calendar. March 23rd. Lots of things were written on the calendar today. Our niece, Lauren, celebrated her 6th birthday. Our friends Ryan and Judy celebrated their wedding anniversary. Carey had a work function that required him to stay late at work. Abigail started daycare one year ago. WHAT?!?! My little munchkin has been in daycare for one full year. Wow.

When I wrote this post one year ago, I couldn't imagine that things would get any easier. I still have days that are hard, and I hope to eventually be able to stay home with Abigail. But, she loves going to Tutor Time. She has friends that she "talks" about on our way home, and she loves to "tell me" what she had for lunch and what books she read with Miss Samantha. Now that the weather is getting warmer, she's able to play on the playground pretty much every day - let me tell you, my little munchkin loves the swings! :-)

There are still some days that it is very tough to drop her off, but most days are like this morning. She was sitting with her friends and Miss Dolores, having milk and Cheerios, and as I left the room, she smiled a huge Abby smile at me, blew me a big, wet kiss, and said "Bye bye ma-ma!" My heart was melting as I drove away, and I had a smile on my face.
