Saturday morning brought me what can only be described as amazing news. Hearing about the snow that has been blanketing areas around NYC, but has thankfully refrained from falling on the Ng house, I decided that I needed to get my fall gardening done, lest I miss my window of opportunity and the ground froze on me. So, Saturday was mommy's day to garden and daddy's day to spend with Abby. Before heading over to Tot Music class, Carey took a few samples of Abby's pooh over to the pediatrician's office to get tested. (You may remember that the only way we knew Abigail had a milk protein allergy was because her pooh tested positive for blood. At Abigail's one year check-up, the doctor gave us the okay to start giving her dairy, and the last time we were at the doctor's office, we picked up some sample collection cards and used them to collect a few pooh samples this week. Sounds kinda yucky, I know, but it's amazing what you'll do for your own child.) Anyway, Carey stopped by the office to drop off the samples. He waited around for the results, and they came back negative. That's right, COMPLETELY NEGATIVE! NOT ONE SINGLE TRACE OF BLOOD IN ABIGAIL'S POOP!!!
What does this mean, you may ask? Well, it means that, praise God, Abigail has outgrown her milk protein allergy. Our little munchkin can now enjoy any and all kinds of dairy, no restrictions! It was such a huge relief - I just walked around the house crying and calling our family. God has once again showered us with His goodness, caring for her and healing her little belly. Thank you, Lord!!!
Now we begin the task of weaning Abby completely off of her formula and onto cow's milk. But based on how Abby lights up at the sight of her Yo-Baby yogurt and happily enjoys her sippy cup of milk, I'm hoping that we won't have too difficult a time. :-)

That is such GREAT news!! I am sure that you are beyond happy and so excited to not have to deal with formula anymore. I hope the weaning process goes well, but it sounds like you shouldn't have any problems! YAY!!!
