Quality Time with the Grandparents

For me, one of the best parts of Christmas is getting to see our family and friends. Now that we live on Long Island, we're closer to Carey's family, but farther away from mine. Well, it was truly a blessed Christmas this year because my dad now has a job in Rochester, and my step mom Debbie was visiting him at the holidays. So, not only did Abby get to spend time with Grandma Jadwiga in Bergen, but we were able to make the short drive to Lima to visit with Grandpa Al and meet Grandma D for the very first time. It made our holidays truly special to be able to spend them with my parents. And, now that I'm a parent, I have to say that one of the most amazing things is seeing my parents as grandparents. Seeing the love for Abby in their faces whenever they see her is a precious, special memory for me.

We stopped by Grandma Jadwiga's office, and Grandma put Abby to work. File Abby under "C" for "Cutie Pie!"
