A rainy day on Long Island...

Mommy hates it when I cry, but she thinks this face is pretty cute!

Well, it's cold and yucky outside today, so Abby and I are staying indoors. Over the past week or so, I've started to take her out for short errands. Last Friday, we went to the new Barnes and Noble that opened up in town. (Abby had received a B&N gift card at one of our baby showers, so we shopped for some books for her library.) Yesterday, I had a few deposits to make at the bank, so we headed over to Chase. Nothing too exciting and no trips that are too long. But, it's nice for me to get out of the house, and Abby likes riding in the car (for the time being), so she doesn't mind short trips either.

Last night, Carey and I had Baptism class at church, so Abby spent some time with Aunt Melissa, Linda, and her cousins. They said our little munchkin behaved, which was good because she'd been a bit fussy yesterday. (Gas, I think...) Last night she slept really well, which might have been due to the fact that she didn't sleep much yesterday during the day. I found a noise machine at Linens & Things, which is going out of business, so we're using that during Abby's naps. At first we tried "heartbeat," which worked for a few days, but as of yesterday, she was not a fan. So, as of last night, we've been trying "waterfall," which sounds a bit like white noise. It seems to be working, so we'll see how long this lasts!!
