Why does nothing fit???

I have decided that maternity clothes are designed for mommies-to-be are who are 5 months pregnant with cute little baby bumps. Not for ladies who are almost 9 months pregnant with VERY LARGE baby bumps. I can't get a pair of pants to stay up, I can't get a shirt to cover my entire stomach, and all my dresses are now almost indecent because my belly hikes them up so far in the front. Grrrrr... (Oh well. Just a few more weeks!)

Tonight, Carey and I are heading to our doctor's office for a Pregnancy Basics class. The office recommends that all expectant parents take the class as early in their pregnancy as possible. But, since Carey and I just switched to Dr. Siegel in June, this was the earliest we could take it. So, I'm not exactly sure how useful it will be, but we signed up and will see what happens!

Tomorrow, Carey and I are heading back to the doctor for our 37 week check-up. (Technically, we don't hit 37 weeks until Monday, but Dr. Siegel is on vacation next week.) We'll get the results of our Group B Strep test, so please keep your fingers crossed! Dr. Siegel also mentioned that we will start seeing him weekly now, and I'll have a full check-up at each visit. Usually, Dr. Siegel checks Abby's heartbeat, measures my uterus, and performs external palpation of my stomach to determine her position. Now, we'll be having more thorough exams to check some of the internal stuff as well. (I don't want to get into graphic detail!) But, this means that the finish line is in sight. AND I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I'm trying to wrap things up at work, and Carey and I plan to finish up a few more things with the house over the next few weeks. But, we're ready to welcome our little girl! :-)
