It was a great weekend!

Good morning, all, and happy Wednesday!! Carey and I had an extremely busy, but wonderful, weekend! It was a painting party at the new Ng house, and we had a good appointment with the doctor yesterday.

I think we may have accidentally packed the camera cable, so I can't upload any pictures today. But, I can tell you that the hardwood floors turned out GREAT! It really looks like a completely different house. Plus, we were so lucky to have help from the entire Ng family this weekend. Anne and Jon came out from Philly, and mom and dad watched the four grandchildren, while Anne, Jon, Bart, Melissa, Carey, and I worked on the house. We've got most of the house ready to go, with the exception of a few touch ups here and there. The kitchen still needs some cleaning, but it's painted and our new stove is set to be delivered on Saturday, so I should be up and running soon! Carey and I have a few more things to pack, but we'll be moving the last of the boxes and our bed to the house this Saturday!!

We also had our monthly check-up with the doctor yesterday. We hit 25 weeks on Monday, and things seem to be going well with Abigail. She had a strong heartbeat of 149 beats per minute, is moving/kicking with more regularity, and my uterus is 25 centimeters. (The doctor said that the measurement of my uterus should be equal to the number of week along I am, give or take 1 or 2 centimeters. Well, 25 centimeters at 25 weeks is great!) The doctor said my weight gain was okay (only 2 pounds, when it should have been around 5), but he said he wasn't too worried since everything else seems to be going so well. The funniest part of the visit (or most insulting, depending on how you look at it) was when the doctor checked my hands and feet for swelling. He said my hands looked fine, and my feet weren't too swollen. Well, my feet weren't swollen at all; that's what they normally look like! (I can't help it if I have naturally pudgy toes...) If he thinks they're swollen now, wait until he sees them this summer! But, the doctor redeemed himself when he said I looked "great" and that I should keep doing what I'm doing. :-)

Carey also gave me a wonderful surprise yesterday. After our doctor's appointment, we had lunch at our favorite pizza place, and then Carey took me to the spa around the corner from our apartment, where he had made me an appointment for a prenatal massage. It was amazing! I'd never had a massage before, and Amanda was great. Before we even got started, she explained exactly what she was going to do, made sure that I was comfortable, and talked me through the process as we went. With all the painting and moving that we've been doing, it felt so nice when she worked on my back and shoulders. I'm so lucky to have such a thoughtful, kind-hearted husband! I love you, Carey!!
